The Dental World of Coltène/Whaledent 
The world is round, a self-contained system in which the laws of nature lay down clear conditions. This is true in the figurative sense for the global dental market. For more than 40 years Coltène/Whaledent has been part of the dental world. The laws of the market are determined by the high demands of the participants. We see it as our task to recognise these needs at an early stage, to pay them special attention and to provide adequate solutions. The Coltène/Whaledent dental group is successful on a global scale as a developer, manufacturer and supplier of recognised dental products. With production facilities in Europe and the USA, worldwide representation and a network of competent trading partners, we provide first-class dental solutions which are held in high esteem by practitioners and acknowledged specialists alike. Coltène/Whaledent History The dental group came into being in 1990 with the merger of Coltène AG Switzerland and Whaledent in New York, which was founded in 1956 as a manufacturer of dental prosthetic products. Since the mid-sixties, Coltène has been producing highly precise impression materials and filling systems. The American affiliate Coltène/Whaledent Inc. specialises in endodontic posts, self-threading para-pulpal pins and modelmaking of dental laboratory and hygiene products. With the incorporation of the dental activities of Hygenic® into Coltène/Whaledent Inc. in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, the array of products was appropriately supplemented with the worldwide recognised dental dam range, guttapercha, paper points as well as waxes and resins for the manufacture of dentures. With the acquisition of Diatech AG Switzerland in 2001, the area of expertise was extended to rotary instruments. In 2002 Coltène/Whaledent GmbH & Co KG, formerly ROEKO GmbH & Co KG became part of Coltène AG. High class cotton rolls and pellets, paper points for drying and guttapercha points for filling of prepared root canals as well as specialised dental commodities are the perfect replenishment to the Coltène/ Whaledent endodontic range of products.
